Booksy is a rapidly scaling, cloud-based marketplace connecting independent service providers (beauty, wellness, creative professionals) with customers across Europe. This is a brand-new role within the People & Culture team, reporting to the People Technology Manager, with a unique mandate: experiment with AI capabilities that haven't yet been explored at the company, then build and ship them.
You will own the full lifecycle of AI-first features—from ideation through proof-of-concept to production launch. Rather than retrofitting AI into existing tools, you'll design agent-first solutions using modern agentic frameworks and workflows. You'll partner with experienced engineers, product managers, and designers across the organization, with a dedicated mentor in the engineering org to support your career growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Experimenting with novel AI applications beyond current use cases
- Building working prototypes and shipping features from concept to launch
- Designing with agent-first and MCP-based architectures
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Tech, and Design teams
- Defining the scope and direction of this new role as it evolves
You'll need commercial software engineering experience, hands-on proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Gemini, Cursor), fluency in Python or JavaScript, and a portfolio or open-source work you can discuss. Bonus: open-source contributions, projects built with agentic frameworks beyond tutorials, or Google Cloud exposure.
Booksy is distributed globally with a remote-first culture. For this role, you must be based in Poland, Spain, or the UK. The company values creative problem-solving, clarity in ambiguity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving scale-up environment.
