Jobber is a B2B SaaS platform helping small home service businesses (plumbers, painters, landscapers) manage quoting, scheduling, invoicing, and payments. The company has been recognized by Great Place to Work and named to Deloitte Canada's Technology Fast 50 and Globe and Mail's Canada's Top Growing Companies lists.
The Demand Generation team drives awareness, pipeline, and customer growth through scalable marketing programs in partnership with Brand, Product Marketing, Sales, Data, and Product teams.
You will own and extend an in-flight AI enablement program for the marketing organization, acting as both a builder and coach. You'll inherit existing assets (tools, agents, MCP integrations, prompts, evals, documentation) and make them reliable, understood, and extensible. Your responsibilities include:
**Ownership & Foundation:**
- Take ownership of vendor-built assets and ensure they remain reliable and extensible after vendor engagement ends
- Own and advance the AI maturity model, moving marketers from first wins to regular integration to self-sufficiency
- Own the marketing AI roadmap: prioritize builds, decide what to sunset, set standards and patterns
**Building:**
- Build AI-powered tools, agents, automations, and skills for real marketing workflows (campaign planning, audience research, content development, channel execution, reporting, experimentation, optimization)
- Build and maintain integrations connecting AI to live data (MCP servers linking ad platforms, analytics, CRM) so marketers work with real data in natural language
- Establish quality and reliability practices: evals, regression tests, human-in-the-loop review to ensure tools are trustworthy and don't break when models or platforms change
**Expanding Capability:**
- Use AI to uncover opportunities the team can't currently see: patterns across campaigns, audiences, creative, channels, and content
- Take on analysis at scale humans can't (evaluating hundreds of creative variants, ad transcripts, landing pages, search terms) to extract what's working and feed back into strategy
- Prototype net-new capabilities, not just faster versions of existing work; test whether they hold and turn valuable ones into durable, repeatable tools
**Coaching & Scaling:**
- Embed with marketers to understand workflows, goals, deliverables, tools, and pain points; identify highest-leverage AI opportunities
- Coach marketers through adoption journey from first win to regular use to building their own workflows
- Recognize patterns across use cases and turn one-offs into reusable playbooks, templates, and tools in version control
- Share wins and examples to build momentum and confidence
- Extend the model beyond Demand Gen into broader marketing organization as capability matures
**Operating Responsibly:**
- Partner with Data, Security, and IT to keep solutions scalable, reliable, and responsible with approved AI providers, sound data handling, appropriate human review, and clear accountability
- Track impact: number of workflows transformed, time saved (measured before/after), adoption, maturity progression, library reuse
The role is based in one of Jobber's hub cities: Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, or Kitchener-Waterloo, with intentional in-person collaboration.
**Requirements:**
- Hands-on experience using AI to materially improve marketing workflows or business processes, with a working prototype on a real workflow
- Experience building AI-powered tools, agents, automations, custom assistants, integrations, or agent workflows connected to real data sources
- Strong understanding of marketing work across demand generation, lifecycle, paid acquisition, SEO/GEO/AEO, content, marketing operations, analytics, or growth
- Ability to quickly learn how marketers work and identify where AI creates meaningful leverage; judgment to know what should and shouldn't be automated
- Frontier mindset with curiosity to spot where AI can do something genuinely new (not just faster); drive to prototype, test, and prove whether it holds
- Quality mindset: comfort defining evals, testing outputs, designing human-in-the-loop checkpoints that make AI trustworthy in production
- Strong coaching and enablement skills; ability to teach technical concepts to non-technical audiences and adapt to different AI fluency levels
- Strong systems thinking; ability to turn one-off improvements into scalable, documented patterns
- Comfort operating in ambiguity in a fast-moving field; habit of keeping current as models, tools, and best practices change
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
**Nice to Have:**
- Direct experience on Demand Generation, Growth, Marketing Operations, Lifecycle, or Performance Marketing team
- Familiarity with modern marketing and data tooling (HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Campaign Manager 360, GA4, Google Tag Manager, AppsFlyer, Firebase, Tableau, Looker, Metabase, Cube, Webflow, Contentful)
- Familiarity with current AI development and automation tooling (Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, agent SDKs, Model Context Protocol, LangGraph, n8n, Zapier, Make, eval/observability tooling, GitHub)
- Experience building internal marketing tools, templates, workflows, or playbooks adopted by others
- Familiarity with campaign measurement, funnel analysis, experimentation, attribution, segmentation, or personalization
- Experience in change management, enablement, consulting, solutions engineering, or technical program management
