Anthropic is seeking an AI Fluency Education Lead to design and create educational content that teaches people how AI works and how to use it effectively. This role focuses on closing the gap between scattered AI tips and durable, foundational knowledge—teaching mental models and skills that work across any AI system, not tied to a single tool or model.
The role combines content creation with systems thinking. You'll own the end-to-end curriculum roadmap for general-public AI fluency, including sequencing, quality standards, and editorial decisions about what to teach. You'll create diverse learning materials: courses, videos, essays, exercises, and interactive lessons. You'll also build AI-assisted production pipelines that accelerate the journey from idea to published content while maintaining quality.
Key responsibilities include turning research frameworks into accessible material for diverse audiences (nurses, teachers, small business owners, policymakers, community leaders), prototyping novel learning formats that leverage AI (personalized learning paths, conversational practice, adaptive assessment), collaborating with external institutions and educators, and measuring learning outcomes beyond completion—tracking comprehension and behavioral change.
You'll work closely with a research team that studies what AI fluency means and how to measure it, translating their insights into learnable content. The role emphasizes creation and invention: most AI education still resembles 2015-era online courses, and this team is rethinking the medium to match the subject matter.
Ideal candidates have deep experience designing content and curricula for adult learners at scale, exceptional writing ability for general audiences (especially translating technical concepts into intuitive mental models), hands-on experience producing multimedia learning content end-to-end, and a working practice of using LLMs like Claude in their own production workflows. You should have technical comfort building light tooling and automations, pedagogical opinions grounded in experience, and genuine satisfaction in creating materials others will teach and adapt.
