The AI Engineer role owns the end-to-end development of Data Web, Vi's data foundation built on third-party health and consumer data. Responsibilities span data ingestion, identity resolution, feature engineering, retrieval systems, and production delivery. This is a hands-on individual contributor position at the intersection of data science and data engineering, reporting directly to the VP of R&D.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and implement data ingestion pipelines for health and consumer datasets
- Develop identity resolution systems to unify disparate data sources
- Build feature engineering and retrieval infrastructure for AI models
- Deploy data systems and models to production environments
- Evaluate and validate model outputs and data quality
- Own the full lifecycle from raw data to production-ready assets
This role requires deep expertise in both data engineering and machine learning, with the ability to build scalable systems and evaluate their real-world impact on healthcare outcomes.
