Salary: USD 175,000 - 250,000 / annual
SonarSource is seeking a Product Manager to lead the roadmap for Gitar, an AI-native code review platform recently acquired by Sonar. Gitar uses AI agents to automate pull request validation and CI workflows, enabling developers to make every change production-ready while keeping humans in the loop for exceptions.
You will work hands-on from San Mateo with the Gitar founding team and broader engineering organization to evolve Gitar from a standalone product into a core component of Sonar's verification platform. The role sits within Sonar's Product Management team and requires close collaboration with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Research, clarify, and prioritize developer and engineering leader needs for agentic code review
- Shape Gitar's roadmap and integration with the broader Sonar family of products
- Translate competitive landscape insights into clear product positioning and differentiation
- Interact directly with users and customers to gather feedback and identify opportunities
- Ensure Gitar meets enterprise trust requirements (self-hosted deployment, SOC 2, data residency)
- Design cross-product features in partnership with other product managers
- Support sales, marketing, and customer success in deals, objection handling, and enablement
- Contribute to the Product Management team's growth in organization, tools, and processes
- Represent Sonar at conferences and speaking engagements as appropriate

Requirements:
- Passion for AI-native developer tools and agentic software development
- Software product management experience, ideally in developer tools, DevOps, CI/CD, or code review/quality products
- Technical fluency with SDLC tooling: Git, CI/CD pipelines, pull request workflows, and source-control platforms (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps)
- Familiarity with AI technologies powering coding agents: LLMs, agent harnesses, planning, tool-calling, and workflow integration
- Understanding of AI/LLM-based products, including trust, safety, and data-handling considerations for enterprise buyers
- Highly autonomous and pragmatic with obsession for solving external customer problems
- Comfortable partnering directly with founders and small, fast-moving teams
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills to align product, engineering, sales, and marketing
- Open-minded, positive can-do attitude
- Comfortable with change, complexity, uncertainty, and operating with speed and ambiguity in an early-stage, recently-acquired product context
- Self-confident enough to challenge status quo and receive feedback
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to drive initiatives from beginning to end
