Fieldguide is building an AI-native platform for modern audit and advisory firms, automating and streamlining assurance work in cybersecurity, privacy, and financial audit. As an Agent Architect, Audit, you'll join a specialized team at the intersection of audit expertise, product development, and AI. This is not a client-facing audit role, but rather a product-focused position where you'll design and build the next generation of audit workflows using AI agents. Key responsibilities include: - Designing AI-powered workflows that will define the future of audit and assurance - Partnering with engineering, product, and design teams to translate real-world audit processes into scalable product capabilities - Working directly with audit firms using Fieldguide to understand workflows, pain points, and automation opportunities - Identifying edge cases, controls, and quality requirements to ensure the product meets professional services standards - Collaborating with the ML team to develop AI agent capabilities for document analysis, testing procedures, and evidence evaluation - Rethinking long-standing audit processes and shaping how AI can augment professional judgment Required qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting with CPA license, or Master's degree in Accounting - 8-10+ years of audit experience at a leading public accounting firm at Senior Manager level or above - End-to-end financial statement audit experience, including workpaper design and execution across financial statement areas - Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation - Experience with planning, risk assessment, internal control evaluation (ICFR), substantive testing, and financial statement review - Multi-client and multi-industry audit background - Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy - Strong communication skills to translate complex accounting concepts into product requirements - Strong prioritization and focus on high-impact work Bonus qualifications include curiosity about AI, interest in building systems with engineers, comfort in ambiguous environments, cross-functional collaboration skills, and a deep interest in improving audit processes rather than just digitizing existing ones.
