Anduril Industries is seeking an AFSIM Operations Analyst to join the Mission Engineering team supporting Air Dominance & Strike initiatives. This role combines rigorous data-driven analysis with advanced modeling and simulation to guide business strategy, inform military requirements, and investigate concepts of employment for cutting-edge defense technologies.
You will work directly with internal and external stakeholders to translate complex questions into physics-based analyses, often designing experiments using mission-level simulations. Your work will follow the scientific method to generate clear, compelling analytical artifacts with actionable conclusions. Analyses will frequently accompany demonstration events to quantify how Anduril's autonomy, AI, and sensor fusion technologies deliver mission success to warfighters.
Key responsibilities include: employing the scientific method to develop model-driven analyses and often the models themselves; developing deep understanding of Anduril's platform, autonomy, simulation, and perception products; leveraging advanced internal modeling and simulation capabilities to create competitive analytical advantages; and translating complex technical findings into clear summaries for both internal teams and external customers through exceptional written and verbal communication.
Required qualifications: 3+ years in a relevant Science or Engineering field; active U.S. Secret security clearance (maintainable); 2+ years hands-on AFSIM scripting experience; proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or Simulink; demonstrated experience in platform and payload modeling and simulation analysis (aerodynamics, fuel, signatures, radar, EOIR, communications, weapons); exceptional communication and presentation skills; working knowledge of military domains such as OCA/DCA, ISR, SEAD/DEAD, Electronic Attack, or Long Range Fires.
Preferred qualifications include 5+ years relevant experience or advanced degree (MS/PhD); ability to obtain Top Secret clearance; demonstrated ability to lead operations analysis studies from concept through completion; signal processing experience; RF propagation modeling expertise.
