LightTable is an AI-powered construction document review platform for preconstruction teams. The company automates cross-document conflict detection across complex, multi-stakeholder workflows in large commercial and data center projects. Recently closed Series A funding and is in active enterprise deployments with major GCs and data center builders.
As AEC Specialist, you will lead the architecture/engineering/construction side of pre-sales and customer delivery. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead deep-dive demos and technical readiness discussions with prospective customers' project teams, establishing domain expertise and credibility.
- Own backtests (proof-of-concept) end-to-end: run LightTable analysis on customer's completed projects, validate findings against actual outcomes, and build findings packages.
- Present backtest results to stakeholders in terms practitioners accept and economic buyers act on, including issues found, severity, sheet references, and cost of miss.
- Lead pilot delivery across 3–5 live projects as main connection to end users, delivering practice-specific training and integrating LightTable into their actual workflows.
- Lead implementation support at enterprise start, converting pilot tuning into firm standards, default rulesets, templates, and enablement materials.
- Deliver projects through implementation, configuring workflows and supporting adoption as Engagement Manager scales across offices.
- Support Account Executive and Engagement Manager at renewal and expansion with domain expertise.
- Serve as primary conduit between GTM and Product, logging product gaps with supporting drawings and carrying practitioner feedback to engineering.
- Own findings quality on your accounts.
You will report to VP of AEC and sit on the Go-to-Market team alongside Account Executives, Engagement Managers, and Customer Support, with close ties to product and engineering. You lead alongside the Account Executive through pre-sales and pilot, then alongside the Engagement Manager who leads the account from enterprise start.
Success metrics within first 6 months: credibility with practitioners (architects, engineers, builders); backtests that surface material misses customers agree are real; findings accepted with low false-positive noise; backtest-to-pilot conversion support with named projects and teams; every pilot team actively engaged using full product; successful training and adoption; customer champions who onboard their own teams; product feedback log that Product acts on; projects delivered on time and to quality.

- Understanding of broader development processes from multiple stakeholder perspectives (not limited to one viewpoint)
- Teaching and facilitation skills: ability to train practitioners, run meetings, and change how teams work
