Stedi is building a modern, headless healthcare clearinghouse and RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) engine. Every part of the product is accessible via API, enabling developers and AI agents to build custom interfaces. The company has raised $142M from top-tier investors including Stripe, Addition, USV, and Bloomberg Beta, and was ranked by Ramp as one of the fastest-growing SaaS vendors. As an Activation Engineer, you will be the technical bridge between sales, account management, and customers. You'll own the customer onboarding journey from first integration call through production volume ramp. Your responsibilities include: - Serve as the technical counterpart on pre-sale deals, qualifying opportunities and explaining integration requirements and product gaps. - Own technical design during proof-of-concept phases, establishing use cases, clearing blockers, and ensuring customers can test and interpret results. - Coordinate payer list matching and insurance discovery batch tests, interpreting results for customers. - Drive ramping customers to expected transaction volume on timeline, building migration plans and identifying root causes of processing errors. - Build internal materials (feature overviews, demos, best-practice guides, qualification criteria) that enable the customer-facing team to answer technical questions independently. - Represent customer needs to the Product team, writing requirements documents and co-owning a customer-driven feature backlog. You'll work in a fast-paced environment with a median customer response time of 3.4 minutes during business hours. The role spans significant surface area and directly impacts customer success, revenue, and product roadmap. REQUIREMENTS: - Technical proficiency: hands-on experience using and integrating APIs; familiarity with data formats and standards (JSON, X12, flat file formats). - Proactive mindset: identify which customers need attention based on data and ramp status, without waiting for tickets. - Product thinking: understand product gaps intuitively and articulate requirements to engineering and product teams. - Deep customer empathy and experience in customer-facing roles; ability to establish credibility in technical areas and prioritize customer relationships. - Subject matter expertise in revenue cycle management (RCM) or willingness to learn; bonus if you have worked at an RCM company and understand eligibility checks, claim submission, claim status tracking, and ERA reconciliation. - Resourcefulness, self-motivation, and self-discipline; ability to manage many open threads simultaneously while staying organized and thorough. - Ability to move fast and match organizational pace; strong communication and proactive problem-solving.
