Salary: USD 65,000 - 75,000 / annual
Huntress, founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, is a fully remote cybersecurity company protecting small to midsize businesses with award-winning managed EDR, MDR for Microsoft 365, and security awareness training solutions.
You will join the accounting team as an Accounts Receivable Specialist, working alongside an existing AR peer to provide full-day coverage across time zones including Pacific and Australia. This role is responsible for the full spectrum of customer accounting and accounts receivable processes: collecting payments, responding to customer inquiries, processing refunds, and ensuring sales tax compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as the primary accounting point of contact for all customer-related inquiries via email, phone, Slack, and Zendesk
- Manage Stripe and Fazeshift billing and collections platforms
- Follow up with delinquent customers and write off uncollectible accounts
- Collect and maintain sales tax exemption forms; assist with monthly sales tax reconciliations and compliance monitoring
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory authorities as needed
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and documentation enhancements
You are detail-oriented, outcome-obsessed, and committed to finding root causes and tightening processes. You work independently with minimal supervision while remaining collaborative. You thrive in a fast-growing environment where consistency and follow-through help the team scale across increasing customer complexity and time zones.
Required: 2+ years of accounting and/or accounts receivable experience. Must be located in Pacific Time Zone.
