The Nuclear Company is a Series A AI-enabled startup pioneering next-generation nuclear reactor deployment through a design-once, build-many model. As the Accounts Payable Manager, you will be the first dedicated AP resource, owning the end-to-end payables function as the company scales from early stage into construction-phase operations.
You will design, implement, and scale AP processes, controls, automation, and reporting across a multi-entity structure. Key responsibilities include invoice processing, coding, approvals, payment execution, vendor management, expense and corporate card administration, account reconciliation, and AP close with emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, financial controls, and fraud prevention.
A critical part of this role is building procure-to-pay infrastructure to support construction-phase complexity. You will partner with Procurement to establish purchase order workflows, approval routing, match thresholds, and receiving processes. You will also stand up project payables infrastructure including contractor payment processes, retainage management, and compliance documentation.
Working closely with Accounting, Treasury, and business leaders, you will drive process improvements and automation using the company's Nuclear Operating System (NOS).
