FlixBus is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to join the Central Accounting team in Sofia. This role is responsible for the timely processing of accounts payable transactions, vendor payment management, and reconciliation of accounts to ensure accurate financial records.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing accounts payable transactions on a timely basis
- Monitoring vendor open items and clarifying old and unusual balances
- Preparing accounts payable reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
- Preparing and executing electronic payment runs as well as manual payments when necessary
- Assisting in the collection and distribution of financial information
- Preparing clear and concise documentation on working procedures
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent qualification, with 3-4 years of accounting experience. Strong knowledge of accounting and VAT legislation is essential. You should be comfortable working in a fast-growing international environment and have confident proficiency with MS Office applications.
