Oura is seeking an Accounting Manager for Fixed Assets & Capital Accounting to serve as the subject matter expert and operational owner for the company's global capital assets, corporate facility investments, internally developed software (ASC 350-40), and lease accounting portfolio (ASC 842).
This is a high-impact individual contributor role within Corporate Accounting. You will own end-to-end accounting for Property, Plant, and Equipment (PP&E), Construction-in-Progress (CIP), and Leasehold Improvements (LHIs), ensuring proper capitalization timing and amortization schedules aligned with lease terms. You'll establish and manage the accounting framework for internally developed software, working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and IT to track development costs across preliminary, application development, and post-implementation stages.
Key responsibilities include managing the global corporate lease accounting portfolio under ASC 842, verifying contract classifications, discount rates, and Right-of-Use (ROU) asset and liability reconciliations. You'll ensure precise financial statement presentation of fixed assets, capitalized software, lease liabilities, and non-cash adjustments, with particular focus on the Statement of Cash Flows. You'll also partner with Technical Accounting on asset impairment analysis and valuation reviews.
Beyond execution, you'll design and scale agile, future-ready capital accounting processes that adapt to business model and organizational growth changes. You'll establish proactive cross-functional discovery procedures with IT, Facilities, and Procurement to systematically identify capital asset purchases and new lease agreements. You'll author and enforce global Capital Asset, Software Capitalization, and Lease Accounting policies, setting clear capitalization thresholds and documentation standards.
You'll serve as the primary finance contact for business partners across Facilities, Real Estate, IT, Engineering, Product, and Supply Chain, providing guidance on CAPEX vs. OPEX distinctions. You'll evaluate and lead implementation of fixed asset management systems, lease accounting software, and asset-tracking tools, partnering with IT on workflow automation. The role requires SOX control execution expertise and the ability to influence effectively across multiple departments.
