The Accounting Manager role reports to the Senior Financial Controller and is responsible for the accurate execution and preparation of month-end and year-end financial reporting. Key responsibilities include monthly balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation, inter-company entries and reconciliation, month-end journal preparation (accruals and prepayments), and UK VAT return preparation and submission. The role requires providing analytics for P&L and Balance Sheet with variance explanations, maintaining fixed asset controls with depreciation tracking, foreign exchange analysis and reconciliation, budget preparation support, audit query support, payroll journal processing, and transfer pricing and cost allocation model support.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in a financial role with general ledger, balance sheet reconciliation, and P&L review experience. Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets formulas is required. ACA or ACCA qualification (or part-qualified at final exam stage) is essential.
