AMOpportunities is a category leader in tech-enabled clinical training placements and workforce solutions serving 100+ healthcare degree programs across 650+ institutions nationwide and internationally. Following a 2025 acquisition and first external audit, the company is building institutional-grade financial infrastructure for investors and lenders.
You will join the finance team as Accounting Manager, reporting directly to the VP Finance. This is a hands-on role at the center of the finance function, responsible for the reporting, controls, and financial operations that support the company's transition from startup to a scaled, audited organization.
Key responsibilities span three areas:
**Accounting & Financial Operations (30%):** Own the month-end close process end-to-end, ensuring accurate and timely financial records. Manage core financial operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and bank reconciliations. Handle specialized payment runs including weekly preceptor and physician stipend payments, affiliate and commission payments, and expense reimbursements. Maintain cash position visibility and support liquidity and cash flow forecasting. Support the acquisition integration of PreceptorLink as the company migrates from QuickBooks to Xero.
**Reporting & Analysis (30%):** Own monthly board reporting including financial packages, key metrics, and supporting commentary. Own external lender reporting across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles, including covenant compliance calculations and supporting schedules. Deliver the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycle end-to-end—accurate, on time, and decision-ready. Own the external audit and preparation of year-end financial statements, partnering with auditors from readiness through sign-off. Build reporting that scales with repeatable, well-documented, and resilient processes.
**Controls, Data Integrity & AI-Enabled Processes (30%):** Design and maintain sufficient internal controls, including segregation of duties and reconciliation procedures. Implement AI-enabled processes to run financial operations faster and more accurately than traditional approaches. Ensure data integrity across accounting systems and support continuous improvement in finance operations.
You will collaborate closely with external auditors, tax advisors, lenders, PE investors, and cross-functional business partners. The role has no direct reports today, with the expectation of building and leading a team as the finance function scales.
