Coframe is building adaptive, evolving user and agent interfaces. The company is revenue-generating, rapidly growing, and backed by Khosla Ventures, Nat Friedman (Android founder), and others. The team is small, talent-dense, and includes competitive programmers, former founders, and AI researchers from top institutions.
As Accounting Manager, you will own core accounting workstreams and contribute to developing finance practices as the company scales. You will maintain financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, support payroll and procurement, and assist with audits.
Key responsibilities:
- Own month-end close including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and deliver accurate financial statements per U.S. GAAP
- Execute day-to-day accounting operations: accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, general ledger, and payroll
- Own billing, invoicing, and collections for enterprise customers
- Support annual financial audits, tax filings, and other audits by preparing schedules and documentation
- Manage spend and AP; run vendor onboarding and expense management
- Maintain payroll accuracy, track equity records in Carta, and support stock-based compensation expense
- Produce monthly reporting package (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, burn, key metrics); partner with leadership on board materials and fundraising diligence
- Coordinate federal and state income tax, sales tax, 1099s, R&D credits, and state registrations
- Design lightweight, scalable controls including approval workflows, segregation of duties, and close checklists
Requirements:
- 2-5+ years of relevant accounting experience; public accounting and industry experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong working knowledge and deep technical experience with accounting principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; commitment to data accuracy
- Effective operator in fast-paced, high-growth environment; comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and limited resources
- Proactively builds or improves processes, documentation, and controls while balancing speed and rigor
- Experience supporting month-end close, preparing management reporting packages, hands-on audit assistance
- Strong process design, documentation, and internal control mindset
- Based in SF and willing to be in office 5 days a week
Nice to have:
- Direct accounting experience in accruals, prepaids, investment, ASC 842 leases, revenue, foreign currency, or consolidation
- Experience at a high-growth or hyper-growth company
- Familiarity with modern accounting and expense tools (ERP systems, corporate card/expense platforms)
