You will join the Physician Partnerships Sales Team as an Account Manager based in the Portland, Oregon or Seattle, Washington area. This is a hunter-and-farmer role where you own the full physician relationship lifecycle—from prospecting and signing new referral partners to growing and retaining existing partnerships in your assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively prospect and identify new physician and provider targets within your territory
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospective referral partners through outbound outreach, cold calling, and in-person networking
- Own the full sales cycle from first contact through signed partnership, including onboarding of new physician partners
- Manage and grow an existing book of physician partnerships in parallel with new-partner acquisition, ensuring consistent attention to both
- Design and execute territory strategies that balance new-partner acquisition with expansion of referral volume from current partners
- Consistently meet or exceed targets for new partnerships signed and total referral volume
- Lead regular check-ins and business reviews with existing physician partners to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities
- Represent the company at industry conferences, medical society events, and networking functions to generate leads and reinforce relationships
- Provide strategic insights to internal teams to enhance sales and partnership efforts
- Maintain rigorous pipeline and account hygiene with activity and relationship tracking in Salesforce to support accurate forecasting
- Adhere to sales and pricing guidelines while maintaining ethical standards
Travel Requirements:
- Daily field travel within assigned territory to visit clinics, referral partners, and accounts
- Approximately 50% overnight/extended travel for regional meetings, conferences, and multi-day territory coverage
Requirements:
- 5–8 years of experience in outside sales, business development, or healthcare provider sales, ideally within healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, or diagnostics
- Demonstrated track record of both winning new business and growing existing accounts over time
- Hunter-and-farmer mindset: self-directed, competitive, and resilient in prospecting, while attentive and consistent in nurturing long-term relationships
- Strong cold-calling, prospecting, and territory-planning skills
- Excellent consultative selling, relationship management, and negotiation skills
- Ability to actively listen, build trust, and foster long-term partnerships alongside the drive to open new ones
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and industry best practices
- Business acumen and proficiency with technology
- Experience using CRM software; Salesforce preferred
