Salary: USD 110,000 - 130,000 / annual
Carlsmed is a medical device company focused on improving outcomes and reducing costs in spine surgery through its aprevo® personalized surgery platform. The Account Manager will be a key member of the commercial team, supporting sales growth and driving revenue within the Northeast territory (Boston to New York region).
Key responsibilities include supporting surgeon acquisition and adoption by training and onboarding new clinics on the aprevo technology platform, accelerating completion of initial case series. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, clinic staff, schedulers, office managers, and physician assistants. The role involves ensuring timely collection of imaging and pre-surgical patient information to support surgery scheduling, maintaining the aprevo Certified Provider user base, and driving deeper penetration in approved accounts by identifying new surgeon leads.
You will partner with sales directors and marketing teams to drive awareness through program marketing efforts, implement Personalized Spine Program education and outreach initiatives, and communicate field sales activities, events, and trends to leadership and stakeholders. The position requires developing and maintaining clinical acumen around aprevo procedures and products, including the ability to present clinical study data to customers. Daily CRM maintenance and weekly/quarterly activity reporting are essential, along with compliance with clinic and hospital regulations.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in medical devices, surgical, or imaging fields, with 1–3 years of spine experience and familiarity with medical device sales strongly preferred. A bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent education and experience. You must be willing to travel up to 60% within the territory and demonstrate proven success in customer relationship management, problem-solving, and team collaboration. Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and excellent follow-through are essential.
