Vanta is a Series D AI-powered trust management platform that helps businesses earn and prove their security and compliance posture. The company automates security monitoring for standards like SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001, serving thousands of fast-growing companies.
This Account Manager role focuses on expansion and retention of Vanta's APAC customer base. You will serve as the primary point of contact for post-sale commercial conversations, including mid-cycle upsells and renewals. Acting as a trusted advisor, you'll develop deep understanding of customer business needs and align Vanta's solutions with their compliance and security objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with assigned accounts, acting as strategic partner
- Understanding Vanta's product offerings and roadmap to confidently address customer needs
- Collaborating with Customer Success Managers to understand customer health and execute aligned communication
- Creating account plans that identify expansion opportunities and increase platform usage
- Managing full sales cycles for expansion and renewal opportunities, from initial meeting through close
- Forecasting monthly expansion and churn with accurate SFDC pipeline management
- Maintaining relentless focus on customer needs with consultative solution architecture
You'll work in a hybrid model (three days per week in Sydney office) and collaborate across CS, Marketing, Enablement, and Support teams. The role requires 5+ years in account management, full-cycle sales, or related experience. Strong prospecting and expansion pipeline development skills are essential. Security and compliance experience is desirable but not required. The company values curiosity about AI and responsible application of AI tools to improve efficiency.
