Harper is an AI-native commercial insurance company rebuilding the entire insurance business as software. This Account Executive, Service role focuses on the post-sale customer moment: when customers return mid-term with certificate of insurance requests or contract requirements that differ from their original coverage. You own the second commercial conversation after the sale. When a customer comes back with a certificate request or new insurance requirements, you will read the bound policy, the certificate request, and the contract insurance requirements line by line. You identify the gap between what they bought and what they now need, build a coverage plan with placement and insurance experts, lead the customer conversation in plain language, and close the change through bind. Key responsibilities include: - Pick up accounts after the sale and own customer requests for certificates or coverage changes - Compare bound policies, certificate requests, and contract insurance requirements to identify gaps - Build coverage plans and decide how to close gaps credibly - Lead customer conversations explaining requirements, current coverage, options, pricing, and deadlines - Close changes by collecting decisions and completion items - Protect accuracy within your license and authority - Record outcomes including what customers needed, why gaps appeared, and whether they bought, waited, or left Service is a smaller, more brokerage-heavy lane than New Business, Renewals, or Partnerships. You treat existing customer requests as the start of a commercial conversation, not a service ticket. Success means improving mid-term conversion, retention, and booked revenue without overselling coverage. Harper has grown ~100x in the last year and operates on-site with long days and high standards. The company moves at speed and expects in-person, collaborative work. Requirements: - Commercial insurance brokerage or account management experience; ability to read policies, certificates of insurance, and contract insurance requirements - Ability to have direct closing conversations and maintain customer trust when explaining coverage gaps - Commercial insurance producer license required within ~30 days of start (Harper pays for training and licensing) - Based in or willing to relocate to New York, Atlanta, or San Francisco - Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 8 p.m., in-office 5 days per week
