Celonis is the trusted platform to industrialize Enterprise AI, combining process data, business knowledge, and intelligence into a living digital twin of the enterprise. The company is scaling its public sector business in Germany through 2029, with a focus on helping police authorities connect and make sense of their data through the new Metropolis solution. This is a specialized Account Executive role targeting German police authorities at federal and state level (Bundespolizei, Bundeskriminalamt, Landeskriminalämter, Landespolizeien, and Interior Ministries). Unlike a typical AE role, this position requires first-hand experience from inside the police organization—someone who understands how investigations really run, where time is lost in data work, and how decisions and budgets are approved. You will build and own relationships with police leadership, investigation units, IT and digitalization departments, and procurement. Working closely with the Public Sector team, Value Engineers, and product experts, you will translate operational police challenges into concrete, AI-enabled use cases with measurable impact (e.g., time saved per case, faster case processing). You will own an individual revenue target and drive complex, long sales cycles to successful close, navigating public procurement and tender processes (VSVgV, UVgO, framework agreements) alongside partners and internal experts. Key responsibilities include: building trusted relationships with federal and state police authorities; engaging with decision-makers across police leadership, investigations, IT, and procurement; translating investigators' daily challenges into concrete use cases; bringing police insights to Celonis product, marketing, and value engineering teams; owning revenue targets; navigating public procurement processes; collaborating with consulting firms, system integrators, and public IT service providers; and representing Celonis at public sector events and police-specific forums. Celonis offers ownership from day one (RSUs and merit-based refresh grants), 24 weeks fully paid parental leave for primary carers, unlimited PTO in applicable regions, flexible hybrid work, continuous learning through a 70-20-10 framework, subsidized wellness memberships, mental health counseling, annual Impact Days for volunteering, and a mission-led culture. **Requirements:** - Several years of professional experience within the German police (federal or state level), ideally in a leadership role and/or in an area close to investigations, criminal analysis, IT, digitalization, or organizational development - Solid network within the police landscape and deep understanding of how police authorities and Interior Ministries are organized, how decisions are made, and how budgets are planned - First-hand understanding of data challenges in police work (case management, evidence and data analysis, cross-agency information sharing) - Strong interest in moving into a commercial, customer-facing role; prior sales, business development, or consulting experience is a plus but not required (onboarding support provided) - Strong affinity for technology, data, and AI; ability to explain complex topics simply and convincingly - Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and engage effectively at leadership level - Familiarity with public procurement processes is a strong plus - Grit, hands-on mindset, and drive to build something new - Excellent communication and presentation skills in German (native or fluent) and very good English - Willingness and eligibility to undergo security clearance (Sicherheitsüberprüfung) if required by customers - Ability to adapt to fast-moving, high-growth environment with positivity, creative thinking, and growth mindset - Collaborative, inclusive mindset with strong interpersonal skills - Ability to leverage internal resources and work as a team
