Braze is seeking an experienced Enterprise Account Executive to lead sales into professional sports organizations (NHL, NBA, MLB, MLS teams and leagues). This is a specialized vertical-native role within the MEGS (Media, Entertainment, Gaming & Sports) organization, focused on owning a named book of high-value accounts with a mandate to acquire net-new logos while growing existing relationships.
You will operate as the "GM" of your book, building account strategy across a relatively small universe of teams and league offices. The sales cycle is approximately 110 days and involves navigating complex, multi-stakeholder buying committees spanning marketing, ticketing, digital, data/analytics, and business intelligence functions.
Core responsibilities include: building and executing account plans with named decision-makers; running consultative, value-based sales processes from discovery through close; developing executive-level business value assessments that connect Braze's cross-channel orchestration and AI-powered personalization to team/league outcomes (ticket revenue, sponsorship activation, membership retention, fan engagement); partnering with Business Development Representatives and Marketing to build pipeline; collaborating cross-functionally with Deal Desk, Strategic Consulting, Customer Success, and Services on deal structuring and onboarding; representing Braze at industry events and league meetings; and maintaining accurate Salesforce forecasting.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of Enterprise SaaS sales experience, preferably in Marketing Technology, CDP, or CRM categories. You should have demonstrated expertise in complex, multi-stakeholder solution selling and value-based selling methodologies (Command of the Message training a plus). Experience selling into professional sports, media, or live-events organizations is valuable but not required—what matters most is the ability to translate complex, cross-departmental buying processes into coherent, value-based pitches from scratch.
Required qualifications: Salesforce.com CRM or comparable platform experience; proven ability to quickly ramp on new product surfaces and cloud tools; track record navigating non-traditional buying committees; strong verbal, written, and executive presentation skills; genuine passion for and working knowledge of professional sports business models and fan engagement; and willingness to travel for in-market meetings and industry events.
