Braze is seeking an experienced Enterprise Account Executive to own a dedicated vertical within its Media, Entertainment, Gaming & Sports (MEGS) organization. You will manage a high-value book of professional sports accounts spanning NHL, NBA, MLB, and MLS clubs and league-level entities, with a dual mandate to grow existing relationships and acquire net-new logos across all four leagues.
This is a specialized, vertical-native sales role with a unique ~110-day sales cycle tailored to how professional sports teams and leagues plan and budget. You will operate as the "GM" of your book, building account strategy across a relatively small but high-value universe of teams and league offices.
Key responsibilities include: owning and building pipeline across named NHL, NBA, MLB, and MLS accounts with emphasis on net-new prospecting; building and executing account plans that map decision-makers across marketing, ticketing/revenue, digital, and data/analytics functions; running consultative, value-based sales processes from discovery through close; partnering with Business Development Representatives and Marketing to build pipeline coverage; developing executive-level business value assessments connecting Braze's platform to team/league outcomes (ticket revenue, sponsorship activation, membership retention, fan engagement); collaborating cross-functionally with Deal Desk, Strategic Consulting, Customer Success, and Services on deal structuring and onboarding; representing Braze at industry events and sports-tech forums; and maintaining accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene in Salesforce.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of Enterprise SaaS sales experience, ideally in Marketing Technology, CDP, CRM, or adjacent categories. You should demonstrate expertise in complex, multi-stakeholder solution selling and value-based selling methodologies (Command of the Message training a plus). A genuine passion for and working knowledge of professional sports—how teams and leagues generate revenue and how fan engagement drives business outcomes—is essential. Required skills include Salesforce.com CRM proficiency, ability to quickly ramp on new product surfaces and cloud tools, proven success navigating non-traditional buying committees, strong executive presentation skills, and willingness to travel for in-market meetings and industry events. Prior experience selling into professional sports, media, or live-events organizations is a strong plus but not required.
