Canva is seeking an Account Executive to own the Public Sector & Healthcare sales lifecycle for the Canadian market. This role combines strategic account management with enterprise sales execution, focusing on government and healthcare institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own strategy, planning, execution, and results for assigned Public Sector & Healthcare accounts, working alongside a Customer Success Manager to drive user growth
- Onboard new accounts and provide strategic sales support to ensure successful Canva deployment across multiple departments and cross-functional implementations
- Build and maintain healthy, predictable business with jointly agreed customer transformation strategies
- Establish close relationships with Public Sector & Healthcare users to understand their needs and drive adoption
- Utilize data analysis to identify trends and usage patterns that inform product and marketing plans
- Drive retention and engagement through continuous testing, learning, and iteration on lifecycle strategies
Canva's Public Sector Consultant team supports organizations at scale, including Education Institutions, Governments, Healthcare, and Not-for-Profits. The team helps institutions move away from outdated systems and time-consuming design processes by empowering them with Canva's design capabilities. Consultants work closely with customers to understand specific goals and provide tailored solutions, whether creating infographics, developing social media content, or streamlining internal communications.
Canva operates with flexibility in work location and style, with offices in Sydney and Austin. The company emphasizes curiosity, ownership, and bias for action.
Requirements:
- 3+ years as an Enterprise Account Executive with a strong track record of closing complex deals and driving revenue growth within large organizations
- Professional experience selling into or managing the Canadian market, either through direct ownership of a Canadian or cross-border US/Canada territory, or tenure at a Canadian-headquartered company; comfortable navigating Canadian buyer landscape alongside US sales motion
- Excellent collaboration skills, working effectively with direct team and cross-functional teams
- Deep understanding of how government and/or healthcare institutions roll out new technology and conduct institution-wide deployments
- Strong communication skills that create clarity by making complex concepts simple; ability to present ideas confidently and tell compelling stories to customers and teams
- Strong business planning skills with ability to move from planning through implementation and deliver high-impact projects
- Growth mindset with eagerness to learn and develop skills
- Bonus: prior experience with Public Sector or Healthcare clients
