Alan is building the new standard in prevention insurance, integrating insurance, prevention, and care into a single digital platform. The company serves 1M+ members across 40K+ partner companies and has reached €800M+ in ARR, with 1000+ employees across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada.
As an Account Executive in Canada, you will own full sales cycles from prospection through onboarding, primarily engaging with Founders, Heads of HR, and Heads of Finance. Your role involves understanding their pain points with incumbent insurers and demonstrating how Alan's 100% digital solution addresses critical gaps in the healthcare system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building relationships through outbound prospecting, community events, conferences, and online content creation
- Actively generating leads rather than waiting for inbound
- Sharing market feedback with the product team to inform development
- Collaborating with marketing on campaigns, events, and sponsorships
- Working without a pre-built script or playbook—you'll help build the sales approach as the market develops
The role requires a builder mentality: you're excited about opening new markets and writing playbooks rather than following them. You take ownership, communicate effectively (especially in writing), and thrive on creating value through action. You're comfortable building your own materials and don't need extensive support to make things happen. You're outcomes-focused, scrappy, and want to contribute meaningfully to healthcare transformation.
The sales team works in-office 4–5 days per week from Alan's Toronto office (King & Yonge), as proximity is believed to fuel collaboration and customer focus.
Requirements:
- 2–8 years as an Account Executive in B2B tech sales
- Full fluency in English (French is a strong plus)
- Experience across all stages of the deal cycle (prospection through contracting)
- LLQP (Life Licence Qualification Program) license required; Alan covers the cost and provides study time
Nice-to-have qualifications:
- Faster progression from SDR/BDR to AE than peers
- History of exceeding quotas
- Experience at high-growth companies
- Experience selling to HR or Finance leaders
- Background in health or insurance
- Ability to close deals in French
- Comfort with feedback and coaching cultures
