Nox Metals is a technology-enabled metals supplier serving aerospace and defense manufacturers. The company operates in Metro Detroit and Los Angeles, using software and automation to deliver aluminum plate, bar, and rounds faster than traditional industry suppliers.
As an Account Executive, you will build and manage a territory focused on high-potential aerospace, defense, and industrial accounts. This is consultative, field-based selling requiring consistent prospecting through calls, email, referrals, events, and in-person factory visits.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and managing a territory plan focused on high-potential accounts
- Prospecting consistently and visiting factories to understand applications and purchasing constraints
- Meeting buyers, engineers, owners, and operations leaders to understand their needs
- Developing opportunities from first conversation through quote, negotiation, and close
- Learning material, processing, service, and delivery capabilities deeply
- Coordinating with inside sales, pricing, supply chain, and operations on customer commitments
- Maintaining accurate account, activity, forecast, and opportunity data in CRM
- Growing existing accounts through responsiveness, follow-through, and useful ideas
- Surfacing market intelligence about customer demand, competitors, and service gaps
- Owning problems through resolution when customer experience falls short
You are persistent, competitive, and comfortable creating opportunity from a cold start. You are curious enough to understand a customer's business before pitching, credible in factory and technical purchasing conversations, and organized about follow-up. You are a strong listener and clear communicator, comfortable with local and regional travel, motivated by building durable accounts rather than isolated orders, and accountable when commitments cross into other teams.
The role is full-time, in-person, based in either Los Angeles or Detroit, with regular customer travel. Equity and company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance are included.
Requirements and nice-to-haves:
- Experience selling metals, manufacturing services, industrial products, logistics, or B2B technology is a plus
- Existing relationships in aerospace, defense, machining, fabrication, or procurement are valuable
- Familiarity with aluminum alloys, forms, tolerances, or material certifications is helpful
- Experience opening a new territory or building a book of business is preferred
- Comfort using CRM, data, and AI tools to improve prospecting and account preparation is beneficial
