OpenAI's Go To Market team is seeking an Account Director to manage enterprise relationships and drive revenue growth in the Seoul market. This role sits at the intersection of sales, technical strategy, and customer success, focusing on helping large organizations understand and deploy OpenAI's AI models across their business.
You will manage a portfolio of ~12 key accounts, owning the entire sales cycle from pipeline generation through deployment and expansion. Working closely with solutions engineers, researchers, and product teams, you'll design and execute complex customer programs tailored to each organization's unique needs. You'll own consumption revenue targets and manage forecasting for your accounts.
Key responsibilities include: developing comprehensive account strategies; leading enterprise prospects through consideration and deployment phases; partnering with internal teams (solutions, engineering, product, marketing, finance) to build customer solutions; analyzing account metrics and market intelligence to inform internal strategy; supporting recruitment and culture-building initiatives; and managing high-visibility customer events and executive relationships.
This is a hybrid role (3 days/week in office) based in Seoul, with relocation assistance provided. You'll report into OpenAI's Sales leadership and collaborate across the organization to shape how the company scales its go-to-market operations.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of enterprise SaaS/PaaS sales experience, a track record of closing $1M+ annual revenue deals for 3+ years, and deep comfort with c-level conversations and complex deal strategy. You should be able to translate technical AI concepts for business audiences, thrive in ambiguity, and have a genuine passion for AI's potential to benefit humanity.
