Hadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize America by combining AI, advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing to help aerospace and defense companies build rockets, satellites, aircraft, ships, and other mission-critical systems up to 10x faster and at significantly lower cost. Following a $1.37B Series D at a $7.87B valuation, the company is rapidly expanding its manufacturing footprint and scaling its Factory-as-a-Service platform. The Account Director role reports to the Director of Sales and is responsible for building strong, value-driven relationships with market leaders in the aerospace and defense sector. This is a strategic enterprise sales position focused on developing relationships with Space and Defense primes and their suppliers. The successful candidate will develop value-based relationships with customer executives, build and execute co-developed strategic growth plans, and work cross-functionally with both internal teams and customer stakeholders to deliver against those plans. Hadrian has strong access to stakeholders at Space and Defense primes and a clear path to turn proof-of-concept manufacturing at the business-unit level into transformation programs at the corporate executive level. The role involves starting with executives who champion strategic supply-chain change, then working throughout the organization to define value, co-develop strategic growth plans, and execute. Success depends on the ability to drive multi-year engagements with customers, starting with one division and expanding across the entire company. Key opportunities include access to greenfield customers currently spending $100M–$3B annually at existing vendors, the ability to sell two "products" with fundamental speed and cost advantages over legacy competitors, and strong brand awareness and market momentum with natural industry tailwinds. REQUIREMENTS: - Proven track record in high-level, strategic sales roles at manufacturing companies with technical credibility in custom, build-to-print, precision manufacturing - Working knowledge of Aerospace and Defense qualification and onboarding: AS9100 certification, quality audits and business assessments, ITAR compliance, First Article Inspections (FAIs), Production Part Approval Processes (PPAPs), multi-year commitments, and contractual flowdowns - Experience developing and closing multi-million-dollar contracts with Space and Defense primes and their suppliers - Working model of cross-functional customer planning and process-based strategic enterprise selling - Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders (executives, buyers, quality and design engineers, supply-chain, program, and quality organizations) - Deep working knowledge of supply chain and precision manufacturing sufficient to earn technical trust with engineers and executives - Hardware, services, and/or infrastructure sales background - High emotional and intellectual quotient with ability to grasp customer pain points and construct solutions - Ability to drive multi-year engagements with customers - Comfort in fast-paced, high-expectation environments - Team player mentality driven by customer and company impact - U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, or eligible to obtain required ITAR authorizations from U.S. Department of State Preferred qualifications include strong industry relationships, technical acumen in selling digital/Cloud/ERP or large transformation programs into Space/Defense primes, founder mentality, and high emotional intelligence.
