Kong is The AI Connectivity Company, building the connectivity layer for AI. The platform sits at the centre of how enterprises manage APIs, AI agents, and the infrastructure connecting them.
As a Commercial Outbound Account Development Representative (ADR) for the EMEA region, you will be the front line of Kong's growth. You'll identify and qualify new business opportunities across the commercial segment, working closely with Sales and Marketing teams. This role is designed as a fast-track entry into tech sales, with significant investment in your development.
In your first 90 days: Month 1 focuses on onboarding, completing a 4-week sales bootcamp, and learning Kong's platform. Month 2 involves picking up the phone with confidence, mastering the tech stack (Nooks, Claude, Gemini, Sumble, Lusha), working your first live opportunity, and hitting ramp quota. Month 3 is about owning your funnel, sharing what's working, and identifying optimization opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and running outbound campaigns end-to-end, from conception to qualified meeting
- Engaging decision-makers across phone, email, LinkedIn, and video
- Partnering closely with Account Executives and Marketing as a connector, not just a top-of-funnel rep
- Maintaining clean Salesforce records and tight pipeline management
- Leveraging AI tools to boost productivity, work at pace, and personalize messaging
- Investing in your own development with manager support
Kong invests heavily in people through weekly 1-1 mentorship, continuous training, and a leadership team that works alongside you. ADRs are positioned as the next wave of Account Executives. The role is hybrid from Kong's central London office (near Bank Station and London Bridge), requiring 2–3 days per week in-office.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Some experience in a customer-facing or sales role (internships, retail, or hospitality count if you can demonstrate rapport-building and outcome-driving ability)
- Hunter mentality; you proactively find leads rather than waiting to be handed them
- High coachability; you take feedback well, apply it quickly, and ask for more
- Strong communication skills, clear and confident in writing and on calls
- Genuine curiosity about technology; you don't need to be an engineer but want to understand Kong's platform and its importance
- Fluency in Arabic is essential
