Chime is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead product strategy and execution for Transaction Risk Decisioning within the Trust & Safety team. This role sits at the intersection of risk, growth, trust, and product quality, owning outbound transaction risk across card authorization, ACH, peer-to-peer transfers, and related money movement surfaces. The team builds decisioning systems and product experiences that evaluate transaction risk in real time, protecting a significant share of Chime's revenue while minimizing fraud and disputes. You will partner closely with engineering, analytics, risk strategy, operations, and platform teams to reduce fraud, improve authorization rates, and make risk outcomes clearer and more recoverable for members. Key responsibilities include: driving strategy to reduce transaction declines and increase authorization rates; launching new controls for emerging fraud patterns; redesigning decline flows to help good members recover while containing bad actors; working cross-functionally with analysts, data scientists, compliance, and legal to improve risk signal quality; partnering with member support to make risk outcomes understandable; and helping launch new financial products safely with appropriate safeguards. Required qualifications: 5+ years as a Product Manager with deep expertise in payments risk, including card networks (Visa/Mastercard), authorization reason codes, dispute/chargeback frameworks, and decline codes. You must think strategically about purchase volume and authorization rates, connecting decisioning logic to revenue outcomes. You bring thought leadership to ambiguous problems, shape roadmaps, and articulate compelling visions for transaction experiences. Strong product mindset, customer empathy, analytical skills, and experience with machine learning and AI methodologies are essential. You thrive in fast-growing, cross-functional environments with significant policy, operational, and data dependencies.
