Sei Development Foundation is seeking an experienced Workplace Experience Manager to oversee the physical office space in the NoHo neighborhood of New York City. This is a hybrid-forward role where the company emphasizes in-office collaboration and community building.
You will be the sole owner of workplace experience, reporting to the Operations team but running this function independently. As the steady presence in the office, you'll create an environment where people want to come in and do their best work together.
Key responsibilities include:
**Office Operations & Vendors**
- Run daily office operations: front-of-house, mail and packages, supplies, and general upkeep
- Own vendor and landlord relationships, including sourcing, contracts, renewals, and service quality
- Be the first point of contact for employee requests and office issues, resolving them independently or coordinating solutions
**Facilities, Supplies & Budget**
- Manage facilities needs such as space planning, repairs, equipment, and safety compliance
- Own the office budget: track spend, negotiate pricing, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Manage snacks, supplies, and inventory
**Events & Culture**
- Plan and execute team events, including offsites, happy hours, and office gatherings
- Coordinate company-wide moments such as all-hands meetings and milestone celebrations
- Gather employee feedback and continuously improve the workplace experience
The role requires a builder's mindset and the drive to get things done independently. You'll balance operational excellence with genuine hospitality, with culture and community as your north star. This is a 5 days/week on-site position with no facilities team behind you.
**Requirements**
- 3–6 years in office management, workplace experience, facilities, or similar operations role
- Track record of working independently as the sole owner of an area
- Strong vendor management and budgeting skills
- Experience planning events from start to finish
- Highly organized and proactive; ability to spot problems before they're reported
- Clear, warm communicator who treats colleagues as customers
- Comfortable in a small company environment where you'll wear many hats
- Able to work on-site at the Manhattan office 5 days a week
- Experience with workplace tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Envoy, Slack, expense/procurement platforms)
**Nice to have**
- Passion for web3 and interest in blockchain ecosystems
- Experience at a startup or high-growth company
