NFX is a venture capital firm building technology and expertise to support founders. The Workplace Experience Manager owns the day-to-day operations and experience of the San Francisco Hayes Valley office, serving as the central hub for employee experience, guest relations, and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include: **Workplace Operations & Guest Experience**: Own the physical office environment and ensure it runs beautifully. Welcome founders, candidates, investors, and guests, creating positive first impressions. Manage vendors, building relationships, and coordinate with building management to address maintenance and facility needs. Handle office supplies, food, conference room logistics, and troubleshoot operational issues as they arise. **Employee Experience**: Support the full employee lifecycle from recruiting through offboarding. Coordinate interview logistics to ensure candidates have a seamless, welcoming experience. Own onboarding operational details—equipment setup, access provisioning, orientation logistics. Manage benefits administration, open enrollment, and coordinate the annual performance review cycle. Serve as a resource for employees navigating HR and operational questions. **Events & Community**: Plan and execute internal team events and external founder/community gatherings. Manage all logistics including catering, AV, guest check-in, setup, and teardown. Occasionally work outside normal business hours to ensure events run smoothly. **Technology & IT Operations**: Serve as primary point of contact for external IT support. Manage mobile device management, coordinate support requests, troubleshoot common technology issues, and ensure new hires have equipment and access on day one. Stay current with the firm's tech stack (Mac, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, AI tools) and identify ways technology can improve operations. The ideal candidate is naturally hospitable, detail-oriented, and exceptionally organized. You anticipate needs before they become problems, handle confidential information with discretion, and move with purpose and grit. You're resourceful, curious, and comfortable with ambiguity. Prior experience in workplace operations, office management, hospitality, or people operations is valuable but less important than finding an exceptional person who genuinely enjoys creating great experiences for others. This is a full-time, in-office role requiring five days per week in the Hayes Valley office. Some physical tasks (lifting up to 40 lbs) and occasional after-hours availability for events or emergencies are expected.
