SumUp is seeking a Workday Specialist to join the People Tech team, reporting to the Head of People Tech. You will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and enhancing SumUp's Workday HCM ecosystem to support scalable, reliable, and intuitive employee lifecycle processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and enhance Workday's Core HCM module to ensure processes are scalable, consistent, and easy to navigate
- Partner with People Operations, Payroll, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into thoughtful system design
- Improve workflows, automation, and data quality across the Workday platform
- Strengthen document generation, validation logic, and reporting structures to reduce manual work and prevent errors
- Provide responsive and empathetic guidance to employees using Workday
- Build and maintain reliable reports and dashboards to support informed decision-making
- Contribute to clear documentation, structured change management, and sustainable configuration standards
The role focuses on shaping how employee lifecycle processes are designed and continuously improved, rather than simply maintaining the system. You will work at the heart of SumUp's Workday ecosystem as the company scales globally.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Workday HCM Core (experience with additional modules such as Time Tracking or Compensation is a plus)
- Solid understanding of Workday fundamentals including Staffing, Worker Data, Organizations, Business Processes, and Reporting
- Confidence working with structured datasets to validate configuration changes and ensure reliable outputs
- Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills with close attention to data accuracy
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and translate business needs into scalable system solutions
- Mindset focused on simplification, standardization, and continuous improvement
- Advanced English communication skills
