Gatik AI is the leader in autonomous middle-mile logistics, operating Level 4 autonomous trucks for B2B supply chain delivery. The company has deployed commercial driverless services with Fortune 500 retailers like Walmart across Texas, Arkansas, and Ontario, Canada.
As Staff V&V Systems Lead, you will architect and govern Gatik's end-to-end Verification & Validation framework for autonomous vehicle safety. This is a technical leadership role overseeing the complete V&V lifecycle across four pillars: Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), closed-course testing, and public road validation.
Key responsibilities include:
• Design and execute the multi-pillar validation methodology, optimizing testing allocation to maximize safety verification efficiency
• Own the empirical evidence layer of Gatik's safety case, ensuring compliance with UL 4600 and ISO 26262 standards
• Build and maintain the Verification Traceability Matrix (VTM) in Jama/Jira, establishing end-to-end traceability from top-level safety requirements through HAZOP/STPA mitigations to test execution results
• Serve as technical sign-off authority for software and fleet updates destined for driverless commercial operations
• Align testing strategies across Simulation, HIL Bench, Track, and Field Deployment teams to eliminate edge-case coverage gaps
• Prepare comprehensive V&V summary packages and present audit-ready validation evidence to internal safety boards and third-party auditors
You will work onsite 5 days per week at the Santa Clara headquarters. This role requires deep expertise in safety-critical systems, autonomous vehicle validation, and regulatory compliance frameworks. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Gatik's driverless fleet meets the highest safety standards before commercial deployment.
