Form Energy is seeking a Battery Modeling Engineer II to support the development and optimization of iron-air battery systems for long-duration energy storage. The role is part of the Battery Modeling team and involves collaboration with R&D and Battery Engineering teams to advance multi-physics modeling capabilities and integrate AI-driven workflows.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with R&D teams to inform next-generation battery designs through modeling insights
- Supporting multi-physics model development by identifying and resolving discrepancies between model predictions and experimental data
- Contributing to AI agent development to scale and deploy multi-physics models across the organization
- Leading the development of a user-facing interface that enables engineering and R&D teams to interact with and leverage the multi-physics model
The ideal candidate brings experience in multi-physics modeling of electrochemical systems from either academic research or industry settings. Experience at the intersection of battery modeling and AI agentic workflows is valued. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) is required. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
