Salary: USD 180,000 - 235,000 / annual
Sleeper is a rapidly expanding fantasy sports platform serving millions of users across NFL, NBA, LCS, and soccer. The company operates season-long leagues, drafts, live scoring, and social features, with traffic that peaks during game days. You'll join the mobile engineering team to develop and refine the React Native application that powers the core fantasy sports experience.
In this role, you'll collaborate with designers to translate user requirements into technical specifications, write clean and maintainable code using React Native and TypeScript, and troubleshoot complex performance and data-caching issues. You'll develop reusable UI components, implement well-structured component hierarchies, and integrate front-end components with back-end services via REST or GraphQL APIs. The tech stack includes modern packages like React Query, React Navigation, and Reanimated.
You should be an active fantasy sports player with strong opinions about product design, bringing 4+ years of mobile development experience with React Native as your primary framework. You'll own large-scale product features with freedom to design best-in-class experiences, work comfortably in fast-paced and ambiguous environments, and navigate large, established codebases. A Computer Science degree or equivalent professional experience is expected.
