Sedric.ai is an AI compliance platform for financial services that uses agentic AI to automate oversight across customer communications and marketing. The company provides real-time guardrails on calls, pre-approval review on marketing assets, and post-publication monitoring across partners and channels. Each customer receives a dedicated compliance model, improving accuracy, reducing false positives, and enabling compliance teams to move faster without increased risk. As VP of R&D, you will own the full research and development organization—three engineering teams with approximately 20 engineers. You will be responsible for the technical roadmap, LLM and AI platform architecture, engineering hiring and culture, and ensuring alignment between R&D and business strategy. You report directly to the co-founder and work from the Tel Aviv office in a hybrid model. Key responsibilities include: leading all three R&D teams with accountability for output, growth, and retention; defining and executing the technical roadmap across the full engineering organization; setting and owning the LLM model strategy including model selection, evaluation, deployment, and iteration; designing the AI platform architecture for enterprise-grade reliability, security, and scale; creating alignment across teams through shared standards, context, and velocity; partnering with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into engineering priorities; ensuring every AI output can be defended to enterprise compliance officers; and owning engineering hiring to build and maintain a high-performing team. You bring 10+ years of engineering experience with 5+ years leading multiple teams simultaneously. You have made real architectural decisions on LLM-based products at enterprise scale—not just API usage but production system integration. You are hands-on with the modern LLM stack including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG, evaluation frameworks, and inference infrastructure. You have a strong cloud-native background (AWS/GCP/Azure) with production experience in distributed systems. You think natively in data pipelines, flows, volumes, and efficiency, with experience in high-throughput event-driven architectures. You have worked in fintech, regtech, or other regulated environments and understand that compliance is a design input, not a constraint. You are equally comfortable in co-founder conversations about product direction and code reviews. You thrive in ambiguity and don't wait for fully scoped roadmaps before moving forward. Success in the first 90 days means: by day 30, you understand all three team architectures, cross-product dependencies, and commit flows; by day 60, you are shipping architectural decisions and coaching the team; by day 90, you act as a trusted partner to the founder and cross-functional leaders, with the roadmap aligned to business strategy and the team clear on what winning looks like.
