Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Operations & Supply Chain, the VP of Logistics & Warehousing will lead the full lifecycle of inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing operations, carrier partnerships, trade compliance, import operations, and distribution network strategy across MISUMI Americas. This is a remote role requiring 25–40% travel to warehouses, customer locations, and operational hubs primarily in North America.
Key responsibilities include defining and executing the Americas logistics and warehousing strategy aligned with global supply chain vision; leading, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing team of logistics managers, warehouse supervisors, and operations analysts; overseeing day-to-day operations across all distribution centers including receiving, inventory management, pick/pack/ship, and returns processing; driving KPI performance on inventory turnover, order accuracy, on-time fulfillment, and warehouse productivity; leading facility rationalization, relocation, expansion, and greenfield DC projects; negotiating and managing relationships with parcel, LTL, FTL, and international freight carriers; designing and optimizing transportation lanes to minimize cost while maintaining service SLAs; owning end-to-end import operations and trade compliance for globally sourced products; and championing adoption of AI and emerging technologies as core enablers of logistics strategy.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in logistics, warehousing, import operations, carrier management, and global supply chain execution, along with strong ability to lead teams, manage large budgets, and drive operational excellence through data, technology, AI, and continuous improvement.
