ServiceNow is seeking a VP of Corporate Strategy to own the company's enterprise growth thesis and drive strategic initiatives at the executive level. This is a high-impact role reporting to senior leadership, responsible for defining and continuously refreshing the company's long-range growth strategy across markets, customer segments, and capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
• Own the enterprise growth thesis: Define where growth comes from over the long range, including which markets and customer segments to pursue, which capabilities compound, and what must be true for each growth vector. Conduct underlying market work including TAM analysis, market structure assessment, share and share-shift analysis, and economics modeling for each growth vector.
• Partner on inorganic strategy: Work closely with Corporate Development and Ventures to shape acquisition and partnership theses for priority adjacencies. Contribute market views and build/buy/partner logic that informs where the company looks and why.
• Lead enterprise strategic initiatives: Drive a small number of strategic initiatives end-to-end to decision, working directly with product, GTM, and finance leadership.
• Drive executive and Board narrative: Author strategic content for Board meetings and executive offsites, shaping how the company communicates its strategy to the highest levels of governance.
This role requires leading through influence across senior functional leaders who do not report to you, with a demonstrated bias toward taking positions and disagreeing productively.
Requirements:
• 15+ years of experience spanning top-tier strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity, or in-house corporate strategy at scale
• Demonstrated ownership of enterprise-level strategy at a company of meaningful complexity, ideally $5B+ in revenue or comparable multi-product portfolio
• Deep fluency in enterprise software and subscription economics: ARR mechanics, net expansion, cohort behavior, platform versus point-solution dynamics, and how AI is reshaping these dynamics
• Track record of building the case for decisions that were actually made, not just recommended
• Experience contributing to acquisition theses alongside a corporate development function
• Direct exposure to Board and CEO-level audiences with strong writing and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead through influence across senior functional leaders who do not report to you
• Demonstrated bias toward taking positions and productive disagreement
Preferred qualifications:
• Prior experience leading a corporate strategy function through a shift from functional to enterprise scope
• Exposure to venture investing or corporate venture capital
• Advanced degree in business, economics, or a quantitative field
