Salary: USD 215,000 - 246,100 / annual
Somatus is a leading outcomes-driven care provider serving individuals and communities with chronic conditions. Founded in 2016, the company partners with health plans, health systems, and provider groups to deliver integrated care for patients with cardio, kidney, metabolic, and other chronic conditions using a whole-person approach.
Reporting to the EVP and Chief of Staff, the VP of Corporate Development will lead the company's growth partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions strategy. This is a strategic role responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing on M&A opportunities that align with Somatus's growth trajectory.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the Chief of Staff, CFO, and Executive Team to develop investment and acquisition strategies
- Creating board and investor materials supporting transaction thesis and financial analysis
- Conducting financial modeling and building acquisition pipelines with prioritized target lists
- Leading due diligence activities and deal negotiations
- Supporting transaction documentation and deal closure
- Working cross-functionally to prepare the organization for acquisition integration
The ideal candidate brings 5-7 years of corporate development, investment banking, or related experience, with a minimum of 3 years in Big 4 audit, consulting, M&A, investment banking, or private equity. You should demonstrate proven ability to drive deal execution from identification through close, including risk assessment and knowing when to walk away. Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and business acumen are essential. An MBA or advanced degree in Finance/Engineering is preferred.

Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and deep understanding of M&A processes (NDA, LOI, DD, SPA, PMI) are required. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial valuation models is expected.
