Cloudflare's VoidZero team builds open-source developer tools that power the modern web, including projects like Vite, Vitest, Rolldown, and Oxc. These tools are trusted by countless developers worldwide and have pushed the frontiers of what's possible in web development.
You'll join a team passionate about making developers more productive. Your focus will be on designing and shipping features that improve the VoidZero family of projects, collaborating across the open-source ecosystem to drive adoption and improve onboarding, and optimizing performance, reliability, and user experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and ship features that improve developer tools
- Collaborate across the open-source ecosystem to improve adoption and onboarding
- Optimize performance, reliability, and user experience of tools
- Investigate deeply, debug ambiguous issues, and reason from real evidence
- Engage with community members and work in public
You should have strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience, a passion for open source and developer communities, and a background in framework development, developer tooling, or product infrastructure. Strong product sense, care for developer experience, clear written communication, and strong ownership are essential. Experience working across time zones in remote teams is required.
Bonus qualifications include familiarity with Rust, experience maintaining open-source projects, knowledge of compilers/bundlers/test runners/caching, and familiarity with the VoidZero project ecosystem.
