Veeam, the Data and AI Trust Company, is seeking a Virtualization Backup Engineer to join its Technical Customer Support team in Bengaluru. This role is critical to Veeam's mission of helping organizations secure and protect their data and AI infrastructure. In this position, you will serve as a technical focal point for customers, providing expert-level support for virtualization backup solutions. Your primary responsibilities include troubleshooting complex technical issues, analyzing logs, and investigating problems across Veeam's platform as well as third-party components from Microsoft and VMware. You will take full ownership of customer issues from initial contact through resolution, determining whether problems stem from misconfigurations, known defects, or unknown issues. You'll also educate customers on how Veeam's backup solutions work and interact with their infrastructure. Key responsibilities include performing detailed troubleshooting and analysis, acting as a technical liaison to IT professionals, documenting all customer interactions accurately within SLA requirements using Veeam's CRM system, and providing break/fix support with customer education. You should have fluent English proficiency and advanced user or administrative-level knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025) and Windows 10/11. Practical expertise in TCP/IP, networking configuration, and troubleshooting (NAT, ports, DHCP, DNS) is essential. Valuable additional skills include UNIX/Linux knowledge, VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Exchange administration, and database engines (SQL/Oracle). You must be able to quickly learn and explain technical information, take ownership of client issues, manage time effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
