Snapsheet is the industry leader in virtual property damage claims, serving 170+ P&C carriers, MGAs, and TPAs with cloud-based claims handling across auto, specialty lines, and total loss settlements.
In this role, you'll work as a Virtual Auto Appraisal Claims Negotiator on a high-volume desk, managing 10–16 claims per day. You are not writing basic estimates; you are an analytical technical expert who negotiates complex supplements and repair logic with body shops, ensures repair plans align with loss facts, identifies discrepancies, and escalates questionable damages to leadership or carriers for review.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Negotiation: Pick up the phone and negotiate complex supplements and repair logic with body shops, ensuring estimates comply with carrier guidelines while maintaining professional rapport.
- High-Volume Execution: Manage a high-speed desk, maintaining quality while meeting or exceeding 10–16 claims per day.
- Technical Defense: Utilize CCC One and other estimating platforms to write fair and accurate estimates to return vehicles to preloss condition based on photos, supporting repair decisions with data and logic.
- Documentation Excellence: Maintain meticulous, real-time documentation of all interactions with internal and external customers, ensuring clarity and process compliance.
- Adaptability: Pivot between diverse carrier workflows while maintaining a consistent, polished professional tone in both written and verbal correspondence.
- Professional Conduct: Effectively represent Snapsheet and carrier partners by resolving technical challenges with diplomacy, precision, and adherence to established guidelines.
You'll work across multiple platforms daily (proprietary tools, CCC One, Google Suite) and thrive in a technology-heavy, self-directed remote environment. This is an individual contributor role with a clear path to advancement based on performance and technical mastery. Rapid advancement opportunities occur quarterly.
Qualifications:
- 3–6 years of auto physical damage claims handling experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience writing auto property claims with deep understanding of DRP (Direct Repair Program) workflows.
- Proven high-volume track record: Carrier/IA Desk experience handling 10–16 desk reviews per day, OR Carrier/IA Field experience managing 6–10 field estimates per day, OR Shop background with $100k+ monthly individual sales.
- Extensive working experience in CCC One is required.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in high-competition, high-volume metro markets (Dallas, Chicago, Tampa).
- Must currently hold a valid state insurance appraisal license or be willing to complete an online licensing class (paid by Snapsheet) prior to start date.
- Background in both insurance carrier operations and collision repair environments highly valued.
- Comfortable and confident in technology-heavy workflows and self-direction required for remote work.
