Planet is seeking a Vice President of Revenue Operations to serve as a strategic partner to the Chief Revenue Officer and lead the global operations team through hyper-growth toward $1 billion in revenue and beyond. This role acts as the connective tissue across the commercial organization, ensuring alignment of people, processes, and technology to drive sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities include serving as a strategic right-hand to the CRO, shaping data-driven decision-making and running the sales operating rhythm including forecasting, account reviews, and pipeline management. You will own sales productivity, building capacity and productivity plans aligned with financial goals while providing trend analysis and actionable insights for forecasting rigor.
A major focus is leading an AI-first RevOps strategy, systematically transforming the team to eliminate manual workflows and operationalize AI in core revenue workflows such as forecasting, pipeline management, and prospecting. You will design and enhance cross-functional processes required for $1B+ global expansion, prioritizing elimination of friction in quoting and discovery processes.
The role requires driving cross-functional alignment with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance to ensure a unified Go-To-Market strategy. You will lead annual processes for quota design, territory management, compensation, and cost-to-serve planning, while proactively managing workforce evolution. Building and coaching a diverse, high-performing global team with emphasis on psychological safety and collaboration is essential.
The ideal candidate brings 15+ years in technology-focused enterprise-scale businesses with significant leadership in Revenue Operations or GTM Strategy. Proven track record scaling revenue organizations from $500M to $1B+ transitions in high-growth environments, leading distributed global teams. Deep expertise in AI adoption aligned with commercial strategy, data architecture (single source of truth, data hygiene), and tools like Gong and Gemini. Strong analytical skills translating complex data into board-level insights, with exceptional cross-functional influence and communication abilities.
