Aledade, the largest network of independent primary care in the US, is seeking a Vice President of Payer Engagement to lead post-contract payer partnerships and executive health plan relationships. This high-visibility role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, serving as a trusted strategic partner to senior health plan executives. You will lead partnership governance structures (such as JOC meetings), present Aledade's value proposition, and execute on joint clinical, operational, and data-interoperability strategies. You'll partner across internal teams—Clinical, Analytics, Product, Health Plan Performance, and Policy—to champion alignment between health plans, practices, and Aledade while navigating evolving CMS regulations and market trends. As a people leader, you will build, direct, and retain a high-performing team by fostering a collaborative work culture. You'll translate strategic organizational goals into actionable targets, coach employees, manage performance against key objectives, and oversee resource allocation to optimize resources and remove roadblocks. On the Medicare Advantage front, you'll share and align health plan perspectives with cross-functional leaders, proactively identify and resolve misalignment between payer partners and internal teams, monitor key MA performance metrics (risk adjustment, quality initiatives), and lead Payer GTM to maximize eligibility and enrollment of practices into value-based contracts. Aledade is a public benefit corporation founded in 2014, empowering independent primary care through value-based care models. The company operates a remote-first culture with flexible work schedules. The role offers the option to work fully remote within the US or from the Bethesda, MD office. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree - 15+ years of progressive healthcare experience, combining senior leadership across healthcare strategy, business development, management consulting, and finance - 10+ years within a health plan environment, with deep expertise in Medicare Advantage fundamentals (financial performance, bid processes, network management, VBC strategies, interoperability, Stars) - Data-driven strategic thinker with proven ability to synthesize complex insights into actionable operational plans - Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships across all organizational levels - Demonstrated success collaborating with executive-level external stakeholders - Strategic leader with strong track record of tactical execution, driving measurable results through diplomacy and cross-functional alignment - Forward-thinking mindset with focus on leveraging technology to enhance scalability and operational efficiency PREFERRED: - Master's degree or MBA
