Salary: EUR 160,000 - 170,000 / annual
Tech Soft 3D is the leading provider of engineering software development toolkits and industrial applications for CAD/CAE data conversion, visualization, and data publishing. They are seeking a Vice President of Engineering to lead their global Engineering organization.
This is a hands-on executive leadership role requiring comfort moving between company strategy, engineering leadership, and complex technical problems. As a member of the Executive Team, you will have a voice in decisions extending well beyond Engineering, partnering closely with the CEO, Product Management, and business leaders to shape technology strategy, strengthen software delivery, and support the company's continued growth. You will represent Engineering at Board of Directors meetings alongside the CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the global Engineering organization, including geographically distributed teams and engineering leaders across the US and Europe
- Serve as an Executive Team member, shaping company strategy and representing Engineering in executive and Board-level discussions
- Partner with Product Management to define technology vision and roadmap, balancing innovation with growth of existing products
- Lead the Engineering Leadership Team in setting clear priorities and annual goals aligned with company objectives
- Stay close to core 3D technology and play an active role in technical direction, architecture, and challenging engineering problems
- Set high standards for engineering quality, reliability, execution, and delivery across global teams
- Champion thoughtful adoption of AI-assisted development tools and workflows to improve engineering velocity, quality, and developer experience
- Explore opportunities to bring AI/ML capabilities into products, partnering with Product Management
- Build a strong, collaborative Engineering leadership team and create an environment where leaders and engineers can do their best work
- Develop and grow engineering talent through coaching, feedback, career development, succession planning, and thoughtful hiring
- Own Engineering budgets and staffing, balancing investment, business priorities, and long-term organizational needs
- Lead the Engineering side of M&A diligence and integration when opportunities arise
- Keep an eye on emerging technologies and industry shifts and help determine which ones matter

Requirements:
- 15+ years of professional software experience, including significant experience building production software and leading engineering teams
- Deep technical expertise in 3D technology and a track record of hands-on contribution to complex, high-performance software systems
- Ability to operate at the executive level without losing technical credibility or becoming disconnected from the work
- Significant people leadership experience, including leading managers and globally distributed engineering teams
- Experience defining technical strategy and translating it into roadmaps, priorities, and execution
- Experience bringing AI/ML into engineering practices and/or software products, whether through AI-assisted development tooling, applied ML, or AI-enabled product capabilities
- Strong knowledge of modern software engineering, automated testing, and quality practices
- Experience architecting complex systems and/or web-based enterprise platforms
- Excellent communication skills and ability to make complex technical topics understandable to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience presenting engineering strategy, roadmaps, and priorities to executive and Board-level audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound business and financial judgment
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally
