Fluidstack is building civilization-scale AI compute infrastructure, acquiring power, designing and operating data centers at massive scale (10-100s of GWs). The company is singularly focused on speed and scale, rethinking every layer of the stack from hardware to software. You will own the clean-sheet design of Fluidstack's UL 891 LV switchboard and UL 857 distribution busway platforms, from bus and bracing calculations through released production drawings. This is a high-autonomy role with full end-to-end ownership: you will drive both platforms to production within 12 months, running design, NRTL listing, and short-circuit test campaigns in parallel. You will lead a dedicated team of electrical and mechanical engineers, backed by assigned drafting, compliance, and test staff from shared engineering services. Your responsibilities include: - Owning the complete design authority for LV switchboard and busway platforms, from one-line diagrams through type testing to factory acceptance - Running the listing programs end to end: test plans, witness testing at the NRTL, follow-up service setup, and certification file preparation - Working with localization teams to define design upgrades for different markets: interconnect points, protection interfaces, transport and rigging limits, seismic anchorage - Collaborating with third-party authorized vendors to ensure consistent product delivery across Fluidstack's data center fleet - Designing for manufacturability at volume: sheet metal, plating, torque specifications, assembly sequences - Writing ratings documentation and configuration rules for application engineers Fluidstack operates with radical autonomy ("be a barrel"), insane urgency, first-principles reasoning, and a focus on building something that matters. Long hours at high intensity are expected. REQUIREMENTS: - You have designed LV switchboards or busway at an OEM and personally carried a product through UL 891 or UL 857 listing, start to finish - You have run short-circuit withstand and temperature rise test campaigns and redesigned bus, bracing, or joints after failed tests - You have made contact system, joint, and plating decisions that determine busway performance under thousands of load cycles - You have designed for manufacturability at volume: sheet metal, plating, torque specifications, assembly sequences - You have led a product team through a compressed release schedule and held the line on test evidence when schedules pushed back - You write clear ratings documentation and configuration rules
