PSD Citywide is a leading Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and maintenance management software provider serving local, First Nations, and regional governments across North America. The company delivers cloud-based SaaS solutions for infrastructure management, GIS, budgeting, and permitting.
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the VP of Engineering will lead the company's engineering organization through a period of growth and transformation. This role oversees three core functions: Software Engineering, Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering, and Systems Administration/Infrastructure. The VP will be responsible for translating the company's technology and product strategy into effective engineering execution, with accountability for engineering operations, software delivery, technical standards, quality, infrastructure, talent development, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and building a high-performing, accountable, and collaborative engineering organization across software development, QA, and infrastructure teams
- Overseeing the design, development, enhancement, maintenance, quality, reliability, and technical operation of PSD Citywide's cloud-based SaaS platform
- Partnering with the CTO, Product Management, and business leaders to prioritize engineering initiatives and translate product/business priorities into executable plans
- Developing and leading the company's AI-enabled engineering strategy, including evaluation, adoption, governance, and effective use of AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle
- Driving practical adoption of AI and automation across software development, QA, and technical operations (design, coding, code review, testing, release processes, monitoring)
- Establishing and communicating meaningful engineering performance metrics (delivery predictability, cycle time, quality, reliability, operational performance)
- Evolving the engineering operating model as the company scales, with focus on organizational effectiveness and increasing the speed and reliability of customer value delivery
