Salary: USD 245,000 - 284,000 / annual

The Honest Company, a publicly traded (NASDAQ: HNST) digitally-native consumer products company founded in 2012, is seeking a Vice President of Consumer Insights & Analytics to drive enterprise decision-making through deep consumer, shopper, and market understanding. This newly created role reports to the SVP Enterprise Strategy, Insights & Technology and serves as a key strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership. You will function as a predictive strategist—not merely a data reporter—bringing external, objective perspective to shape where the company plays, how it wins, and where it invests. The mandate extends beyond leading research to influencing how Honest operates by integrating consumer understanding, marketplace dynamics, and commercial performance across the enterprise. Key Accountabilities: - Shape growth strategy, investment, innovation, portfolio decisions, and M&A evaluation - Steward enterprise intelligence across consumer, marketplace, syndicated data, foresight, and performance metrics - Advise Investor Relations by counseling CEO, CFO, and IR team on factors driving investor messaging (marketplace performance, economic factors, competitive dynamics) - Oversee brand marketing and equity research in partnership with SVP of Marketing and operating unit heads - Ensure product portfolio is built to perform by collaborating with product technical teams on testing and competitive performance practices - Build organizational capability through team leadership, decision quality, consumer-centricity, and executive influence Core Responsibilities: - Guide enterprise growth strategy by influencing portfolio strategy, brand investment, innovation priorities, category expansion, and long-range planning - Serve as the voice of the consumer and marketplace, representing external reality in executive decision-making - Lead evolution from reactive tracking to predictive forecasting using advanced analytics, AI, and behavioral data to identify emerging consumer behaviors and market shifts - Deliver consumer-demand validation and market sizing for category entries, strategic partnerships, and growth projects - Partner across Sales, Category Management, Finance, IT, Procurement, and Data Engineering to govern the company's syndicated data ecosystem (Circana, Numerator, etc.) - Integrate disparate data sources (behavioral, transactional, attitudinal) into unified enterprise assets - Develop proprietary consumer and market intelligence to function as lasting enterprise decision systems - Monitor brand health by tracking equity, trust, perception, awareness, loyalty, sentiment, and NPS - Foster organizational consumer-centric mindset across Marketing, Sales, Product, R&D, Finance, Strategy, and executive leadership - Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering curiosity and commercial acumen - Serve as trusted strategic advisor to CEO and business leaders on consumers, markets, and business performance Requirements: - 15+ years in consumer insights, market research, or strategic planning, including 5+ years in an executive role leading a team - Track record of translating consumer and market intelligence into measurable commercial impact, growth, and ROI - Direct experience governing syndicated data ecosystems (e.g., Circana, Numerator) - Proven experience partnering with data engineering, tech infrastructure, or product architecture teams - Fluency in predictive analytics, AI, social listening, and telemetry data - Deep expertise across qualitative and quantitative research, behavioral economics, and modern data-stack applications - Exceptional communication skills with track record of influencing C-suite executives and board members through compelling storytelling backed by data - Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Statistics, Behavioral Sciences, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
