Lessen is a venture-backed, tech-enabled property service provider transforming commercial and residential real estate services at scale. The company operates a network of over 30,000 vetted vendors serving clients with 1+ million properties and completing 3.5+ million work orders annually.
The Vendor Success Manager oversees geographic markets and vendor relationships, driving profitable business results through strategic vendor management and data-driven insights. This role manages a team and is responsible for vendor performance, relationship development, and market optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop negotiation strategies and conduct vendor negotiations on pricing, delivery, and terms
- Perform data analysis and provide vendor performance insights to inform strategic decisions
- Conduct regular client needs assessments to understand objectives, challenges, and requirements
- Proactively manage vendor relationships and leverage internal resources to enhance the vendor base
- Minimize costs and maximize value through strategic sourcing and negotiations
- Monitor department activities against performance objectives and submit reports to leadership
- Identify and implement process improvements related to tools, policies, and workflows
- Ensure compliance with sourcing policies and strategies aligned with financial business plans
- Develop presentations for leadership and vendors on strategies, programs, and initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments on catalog pricing and vendor strategies
- Foster a positive team environment and provide coaching/mentoring to team members
- Travel up to 20% of the time
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in facilities, supply chain analytics, or procurement
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proficiency in people management processes including recruitment, performance management, and rewards
- Demonstrated ability to build, grow, and develop teams; experience with department structure design and resourcing
- Coaching and mentoring skills to develop individual team members
- Team engagement through communication, processes, and influence
- System experience with ADP or Great Plains
- Solid working knowledge of subject matter
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Preferred: Tableau, HubSpot, Salesforce experience
- Preferred: Industry trade knowledge in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or general maintenance
